Art workshop

The instructor of the art workshop, Jerry Miko, says that the kids are working well and showing intrest in what he says. They desided not to devide the trees between countries so everyone could put their ideas on the best space for them, every kid can make about two or three projects. Jerry likes working with so young people because they point out things he cant see.

I asked him who was working harder, the boys or the girls, he said it was really hot outside to day but the girls where working harder. He told me who his top students where, his top students where two girls, Sólveig from Estonia born in 1996 and Laura from Finland born in 1990. Sólveig really has interest in art she has been working on a swan that she placed in the middle tree, I asked her if she had tried the drum but it turned out that she has only been working the whole time. Laura finds this really fun and she looks at this a great opportunity because she has never worked with trees before but she is also exited because she is going to a art school in Norway.

Drama workshop

We interweived the 17 year old Tim Fischer from Germany and the 17 year old Reane from Estonia who are both in the drama workshop.

Tim chose the drama workshop siply because he likes to act, Reane chose it because she is in a theatre class in Estonia. They both find their workshop very nice, both because of the games that they play there and being with kids from other countries. In the class they have mainly been playing games to get to know each other better, also they have been practising impro (acting without lines) and learning about plain drama.

Tom says the best thing about drama workshop is that you have a chance to do lots of decicions, but Reane says it is the impro that is the best part and it is fun that they practise it.

We asked if they had any last words, they both answered: no last words :)

Music Workshop

Elmar Gams

Elmar is 17 years old and came 2006 to Estonia. He lived for two years in his home town in Russia, Volsk, it´s near the big river Volga. Then he moved to Moscow, 2006 he came to Tallinn. It was his fathers wish because he is an Estonian. So Elmar is originally an Estonian man.

Elmar is in Music Workshop because he likes to sing. In his community in Estonia he is a member in the church choir. Also he wants to be a part at Bochum Total. He said to me at the end of the interview he would like to be on a big stage. Elmar said, that he finds the Art & Drama Workshop very boring. Media Group is nothing for him because he is very lazy. ;)

Elmar likes very much the free time he has at Music Workshop. Of course he raves about the very good teacher Saila.
